Four Rangers loanees have been boosted by the news that SPFL League One and Two clubs can return to training with a view to restarting their seasons.
All leagues below the Championship have been suspended since early January following a controversial SFA decision made in the ‘best interests of public health and participant safety’.

Previous proposals put forward by clubs regarding a return to action had been rejected but on Tuesday, they were finally granted their wish.
“We warmly welcome the news from the First Minister that League 1 and League 2 clubs can now return to football activity,” said an SPFL spokesperson [SPFL.co.uk].
“We are already liaising with League 1 and League 2 clubs about their preferred start date and will then publish fixtures to the end of the season.
“Clubs, players and fans have shown admirable patience over the suspension of fixtures and everyone is looking forward to resuming training and games once again.”
The Rangers loanees impacted by the news are young goalkeepers Kieran Wright and Nicky Hogarth, who are at Partick Thistle and Cowdenbeath respectively, as well as full-back Matthew Shiels and midfielder Jack Thomson, who are both at Clyde.
20-year-old Wright has arguably been the most impressive of the quartet so far this season and has been back training with the first team in recent weeks.
The Scotland youth international has kept five clean sheets in nine League One outings for the Jags and won their Player of the Month award for November.
Rangers are in action against Livingston in the Premiership on Wednesday evening. Ahead of the game, check out our Predicted XI and our Preview over on the Rangers News YouTube channel.
