The Head of the Club’s Academy, Craig Mulholland has claimed, ‘there has never been a more exciting time to be a young player at Rangers.’
The comments came after a significant funding increase for the club’s youth section.
Rangers Youth Development Company products including the Rangers Lotto and Rising Stars, have been going from strength to strength.
Therefore, its director of operations, Colin Stewart, was able to present the Academy with a cheque for £400,000 for the coming year.

That’s an improvement on a £250,000 donation from last year and a £175,000 contribution the year before that.
Speaking after the donation, Mulholland was effusive in his praise.
He singled out both the RYDC and the club’s fans.
All the major achievements of 2018 were listed as evidence of the improvements made.

These included the doubling of scouting resources and the creation of a new Academy culture.

The performances of Ross McCrorie and Glenn Middleton are also a ringing endorsement of the preparation for senior football, provided by the system.

“It has been an incredible journey, delivered at pace”, said Mulholland.
The future certainly looks bright at Ibrox.
