Michael Beale has shared a touching message to the Rangers supporters on Instagram following his departure from the club.

The former first-team coach, who was arguably the mastermind behind last seasons league title, sent the message to his 65000 followers on the social media platform with a variety of pictures from his time at the club.

“Thank you to everyone at Rangers football club, the players, staff, board members, and most importantly the fans,” Beale wrote.

Sharing some of his finest moments at the club such as the “big European nights/performances” and “incredible away support at every city and stadium we visit” Beale has taken Rangers to new heights during his time as first-team coach.

It might have all been so different for Beale, however. Cardiff City was reportedly after the coach to become the manager of the Welsh side at the start of the month before he joined Gerrard at Aston Villa.

After Mick McCarthy left the Championship side, Michael Beale was on the radar of the club to take over.

The coach started off at Chelsea working under managers including Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti, and Gus Hiddink before moving on to Liverpool.

He moved to the Brazilian side São Paulo in 2017 before returning to Liverpool. He moved to Glasgow with Gerrard after he was appointed manager in 2018.

Rangers will find it difficult to replace Michael Beale, which is a testament to his excellent work over the previous three and a half years.

In other news, there is a surprising candidate to take over as Rangers’ manager.
