Rangers captain James Tavernier has “world class” delivery, at least according to former Gers boss Mark Warburton.
Warburton should know – he took Tavernier to Ibrox from Rotherham back in 2015. The former Brentford boss was speaking as part of an interview on Si Ferry’s Open Goal Youtube channel.
The Englishman also said the marauding right back deserves every credit after he was awarded the Rangers captaincy. Warburton starts talking about Rangers about 27 minutes in, makes the Tav comment after about 34 minutes.
Whilst Tav does have a superb delivery, it’s high praise indeed from Warbs. Tavernier is a top class player but not without his flaws, as the Manager points out.
But the fact he rates his delivery up there with the very best in football shows you how good Tav is going forward.
It’s also without doubt that the Yorkshireman is the league’s best right back. His contribution to Rangers since joining the club has been immense.

Tav has 38 goals and 54 assists in 183 games for Rangers since 2015. It’s a huge return for a right back.
