Another Rangers game, yet another Man of the Match performance from captain fantastic James Tavernier.
The marauding full-back’s statistics this season continue to amaze as Tavernier added a 16th goal and another two assists to an immense record this campaign; Tav’s now on 16 goals and 11 assists for the season.

The Ibrox wing-back was the subject of much praise from manager Steven Gerrard after the match – his boss even surprised by the level of his development this season.
The full-back’s smart run in behind for the first goal was complemented by an absolutely beautiful pass from Steven Davis to set him free.
That ball from the Ulsterman almost takes away from what was a quality run and cross from Tavernier, and what was a quality run and finish from Kemar Roofe.
Rangers’ second goal was indicative of the lengths Tavernier has grown to this season, the full-back once again finding himself in the six-yard box with the ball ricocheting off him into the net.
Tav had to be there to score and is absolutely frightening just how often our captain is getting into these sorts of positions from right-back.
The third was once again another example of that telepathic movement from Tav, the wing-back knowing when to move to be found on the overlap by Connor Goldson before crossing into the box.
This time the ball was trundled into the net by Callum Morris – much to the despair of Alfredo Morelos – but once again it was our captain driving forward and making this happen.
That’s before you talk about his contribution to a defence which has now kept 18 clean sheets in 24 games this season.
Former Rangers teammate Andy Halliday thinks that there will be Premier League sides sniffing about our man come January [Open Goal].
But if there is then anyone serious about unsettling Rangers’ club captain in the next window then they better be willing to cough up, such is his value to the team.

On current form, the Rangers talisman is without a doubt a £20m player and would be a massive asset to any team; in fact, he’s probably indispensible to ours.
The transfer talk surrounding both Tavernier and the man on the opposite side of the pitch Borna Barisic is a testament to the immense form shown by the wing-back duo this season.
