AZ Alkmaar boss Pascal Jansen is interested in talking to Rangers and becoming the new manager of the Ibrox club.
That’s according to TalkSPORT, who are claiming that the London-born Dutch coach is “keen on the position” as an Ibrox outsider potentially becomes a frontrunner.
Rangers fans following the links to Pascal Jansen will note TEAMtalk claiming last week that the AZ Alkmaar boss is someone who is “admired” by the Ibrox club.
And that is a feeling that appears to be mutual with Rangers only just sacking Michael Beale after less than a year in charge of the club.
Ibrox legend Steven Davis will take temporary charge of the team as Rangers look to steady the ship heading into the October international break.

AZ manager Pascal Jansen interested in Rangers job
The Rangers board are now on the hunt for the 19th permanent manager at Ibrox and Pascal Jansen certainly represents an interesting option.
Second in the Eredivisie and unbeaten with AZ Alkmaar this season, the Dutch-English coach has won six out of seven games and is second only to Champions League foes PSV Eindhoven.
At the weekend Pascal Jansen was also showing why the likes of Crystal Palace and Everton have been mentioned as his AZ side thumped Fortuna Sittard 4-0.
Rangers now face a major call on who will come in this season and will be hoping the club’s interim team can steer them to the October international break.

It is then that the club are expected to make an announcement over a new manager and Pascal Jansen appears to be putting himself in the running.
Whoever it is that Rangers decide to move on, the club will have to get this appointment right with the seven-point gap in the Scottish Premiership near fatal.
Rangers’ stuttering new-look side are also under immense pressure and the coach that walks in through the Ibrox gates must have enough about him to get a tune out of them immediately.
