Liverpool and AS Roma tracking Rangers youth Josh McPake – report

European giants Liverpool and AS Roma have “registered interest in” exciting Rangers prospect Josh McPake, according to the Daily Record.
The paper also credits Borussia Monchengladbach with an interest in the player who has a year left to run on his current deal.
It has sprung Rangers into action with the Ibrox club reportedly ready to tie McPake down on a three-year deal.

Steven Gerrard is said to be “huge admirer” of the player, who won the Academy Player of the Year at least season’s Rangers Player of the Year Awards.
It was a just award for what’s been an amazing season for the 17-year-old. The attacking midfielder was a top performer for the youth and reserve sides last season.

The youngster could well be set to make his breakthrough to the top side this season. McPake has even been pictured training with the Rangers first-team as the side return to training.
There is real hope Rangers can tie the young prospect down and he can be a real fixture for club and country in the coming years.
