Rangers’ retail partners Castore have struck a new deal with James Bond franchise 007 as their retail empire continues to expand.
The now Manchester-based retailer has announced a new “Ready for Action: 007 x Castore” range which will see different types of activewear released as part of the collaboration.
It’s certainly an interesting concept and its one both parties are excited for as the James Bond franchise approaches the 60 year anniversary of its first ever movie.
Sean Connery first played the famous British spy in Dr No back in 1962 and its certainly a sign of the times as Castore team up with James Bond 007 for the creative release.
Pascal Lafitte, Head of Partnerships at Castore, praised the deal.
“It’s a privilege for Castore to collaborate with the 007 franchise and celebrate its 60-year anniversary together,” said Lafitte.
“James Bond is one of the most symbolic British figures, and as a proud British brand, with aspirations to become number one in the premium sportswear space, we are hugely excited to work with the franchise to bring this new collection to life.”
Rangers partners Castore sign James Bond 007 deal
Rangers fans are used to Castore teaming up with a whole host of high profile individuals and companies but the move with James Bond 007 is certainly something new.
The Ibrox side represent Castore’s first foray into the football market and since signing the Rangers deal in 2020 the company have expanded across Europe.
Now boasting a trio of deals in the Premier League with Aston Villa, Wolves and Newcastle United, the retailer also has deals in Germany (Bayer Leverkusen), Spain (Sevilla) and Italy (Genoa).
On top of this, the “premium” sports retailer also has a range of partnerships across sport, including with the England cricket team, Saracens rugby and the likes of Sir Andy Murray.
Meanwhile, Rangers have been handed a reported £7.5m post-World Cup boost.
