Rangers have been handed a major boost ahead of the clash with Hibs as Michael Beale confirms both Connor Goldson and Ben Davies are available for first-team selection.
The first-choice centre-back pairing are two of a number of key first-team players who have seen the first half of their seasons impacted by injury as the Gers fell nine points behind Celtic.

But as the dust begins to settle on the end of Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s Ibrox reign its clear some of the club’s key players are inching back to top team fitness.
Heading into the clash with Hibs at Ibrox – which is must-win if Rangers harbour any serious hopes of winning this title – Michael Beale had previously hinted the players would be available.
But speaking in a press conference ahead of the game, Beale delivered the good news that vice-captain Connor Goldson and ex-Liverpool defender Ben Davies will be in the squad.
Rangers to be boosted by Connor Goldson and Ben Davies return
“Both [Connor] Goldson and [Ben] Davies trained this week,” said Michael Beale [Rangers].
“They are not 100 per cent for the game but it is just now about getting them ready for 90 minutes. Having 5 subs allows me to help work them back into the game.
“The quicker we can get Connor (Goldson) back it will make us a stronger Rangers for sure.
“They are available for selection both of them.”
We don’t need to tell you that this is huge news for Rangers with the club paying a combined £7.5m to take the players to Ibrox.
Connor Goldson cost £3.5m in a switch from Brighton in 2018 and has cemented himself as a key figure at Ibrox, whilst Ben Davies joined in the summer on a £4m deal from Liverpool.
Meanwhile, two academy starlets could be in line to start against Hibs.
