Rangers have been handed a major boost ahead of Legia Warsaw’s trip to Ibrox on Thursday with reports the Polish side’s star striker Carlitos is set to leave the club.
The Legia number 9 was the Polish side’s top scorer in the league last season with 16 goals and would be a real miss for the side in Glasgow.
The Spaniard is reportedly interesting Al-Wahda in the United Arab Emirates and the Daily Record have quoted Legia boss Aleksandar Vukovic on the player’s future.

“Carlitos was in the team originally, but pulled out because of personal reasons,” said Vukovic.
“We’ve had no official offer for him, but we know his agent is working hard on his behalf.
“I keep emphasising, even although people don’t want to hear this, that the truth is that I have had no fall-out with Carlitos. He has the same opportunity to play as any other player.
“He is still a Legia player and will be until any transfer is officially signed.”
The move comes at a time when – prior to Legia’s 3-2 over LKS Lodz at the weekend in which Vukovic made nine changes – Legia only scored three goals in six games.
But with a notoriously tight defence, they’ll be hoping that they can catch Rangers on the break in Glasgow.

If Legia score, the Ibrox side will need to score two. From a Legia point-of-view, it’s something which is much more difficult without Carlitos in the team.
Rangers also have striker worries of their going into the tie – the club’s fans are anxious about the immediate future of Alfredo Morelos.
