Legendary Rangers captain Barry Ferguson has urged Gers youngster Kai Kennedy to stay at Ibrox and taken aim at those advising the youngster signing a new deal.
The youngster, 18, is amongst the most highly-rated youth talents at Ibrox but reports earlier in the week suggested that the winger has been told to find a new club after contract talks broke down.
With a year left on his contract – and reported links to Man City, Bayern Munich and AS Roma – the report also claimed Kai had been sent back to the Academy to train last week as a result.

However, footage of the Rangers squad taking part in pre-season disproved this suggestion.
Speaking on PLZ Soccer’s Peter & Roughie’s Football Show, legendary Ibrox midfielder Ferguson criticised those advising Kennedy and believes that if he does choose to move on elsewhere, he’ll be making a big mistake.
“A lot of these young players have advisors who maybe try and push them a bit too quickly. I like young players to stay about and fight for a place,” said Ferguson.
“There’s no doubt the young kid has huge potential so I would like him to stay about. At this stage in his career, it’s not about money.
“We’ve seen it with various young players moving far too quick for my liking, I’d like to see him stay for a while longer.”
Kennedy was promoted to the Ibrox first-team last season and made his Rangers debut against Stranraer in the Scottish Cup in January.
The youngster also won player of the tournament as a Rangers U17s side lifted the prestigious ALKASS Cup in 2019.
