Talented Rangers youngster Kai Kennedy, 18, has reportedly been told to find a new club after his wage demands were deemed too high by the Ibrox club.
The tricky winger’s contract is set to expire next season and according to the Scottish Sun, both parties are now at an impasse when it comes to Kennedy’s next move.
With reports previously linking the likes of Bayern Munich and Manchester City to the player, the report claims the Ibrox Academy graduate has been told he can move on.
However, the report also claims that Kai Kennedy was sent back to train with the Academy last week by the club even though he is clearly taking part in training sessions with the first team.
Kennedy was snapped as early as July 13th at the Ibrox training ground in a training video uploaded to RangersTV.
Kennedy is highly rated by Rangers and by the coaching staff but once again contract wrangles with youth players could see the club lose one of their top talents.
The youngster will surely not have been helped with all the speculation surrounding his future, with the likes of Roma, Manchester City and Bayern Munich mentioned in the Sun report.
Back in December 2019, the Daily Record linked Bayern and City to the Scotland U19 international but so far nothing has materialised regarding their interest.
Kennedy was named player of the tournament as the young Gers famously secured the ALKASS Cup back in February 2019.
The 18-year-old made his first-team Rangers debut against Stranraer in the 2-0 Scottish Cup win in January 2020.
