Premier League side Leeds United are in “advanced negotiations” to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Michaël Cuisance amid reports linking them to Rangers’ Ryan Kent.
According to L’Equipe, Marcelo Bielsa’s side are in the late stages of negotiations over a deal for the highly-rated 21-year-old in a deal reportedly worth £18.3m (€20m).
Reports linking Leeds to the midfielder also come after a deal for Udinese vice-captain and Argentinian international midfielder Rodrigo de Paul broke down over a £31m price tag.
Leeds reportedly had a £10m bid turned down for Rangers winger Kent with the newly promoted Premier League side going through a big summer of recruitment.
It’s testament to Kent’s ability that he appeared amongst the first-choice wide options at the club but Rangers were clear if the Whites wanted the player they’d need to cough up.
Since then reports in the Dutch press have claimed that the Premier League side are on the verge of securing a £9.1m deal for FC Utrecht winger Gyrano Kerk, 24, all but ending the interest in Kent.
The Yorkshire club has undergone a summer of hefty investments, bringing the likes of Rodrigo (£26m), Robin Koch (£13m), Diego Llorente (£20m) and Helder Costa (£16m) to Elland Road.
The Whites have also been linked with a loan move for Manchester United’s Welsh winger Dan James as they look to strengthen their side before the transfer window closes.
