Former Rangers striker Dapo Mebude has been pictured back with his KV Oostende teammates after a life-threatening car accident.
The former Scotland youth international forward, 22, was spotted smiling with his Belgian Pro League teammates as he took yet another step forward in his recovery.
Rangers fans and the football community alike will be delighted to see these snaps of Dapo Mebude after the striker was involved in a devastating accident at the beginning of January.
Mebude – who is a product of the Rangers youth academy – was forced into surgery after the horrific car crash left doctors fearing for the young striker’s life.
Dapo Mebude recovering from car accident
Rangers fans will remember Dapo Mebude from the managerial reign of Steven Gerrard, the striker on the fringes of the first-team squad under the Liverpool legend.
Even making his debut for Rangers in an end-of-season clash with Kilmarnock – coincidentally the striker’s only appearance for the club – it didn’t quite happen as the Ibrox club had planned.
Moving to Watford in 2021, the striker had a loan stint at AFC Wimbledon before heading to Belgium last summer and KV Oostende are yet to see the best of the kid.
With the Dapo pictured back with his teammates as he continues on the road to recovery from that devastating car accident, let’s hope we see the kid back on the before long too.

Rangers also have links to brother Adedire
Dapo Mebude isn’t the only member of his family who has links to Rangers either, with younger brother Adedire also a product of the club’s Academy.
Adedire, 19, was snapped up by Manchester City in 2020 and has spent the last three-and-a-half years in the Premier League club’s youth set-up.
Following a stint at Belgian side Westerlo earlier in the campaign, the hitman is now out on loan at Bristol City for the remainder of the season.
Yet to make an appearance for the Robins, when Dapo Mebude does get back to playing, perhaps we’ll see the Adedire brothers on the same pitch one day.
