As we enter the new season, there’s been plenty of talk about players coming in and out of Rangers. But in Greg Docherty, there’s been very little at all.

Doc had a superb season on-loan at Shrewsbury last year. He helped keep the Shrews up and won a raft of awards at the end of Shrewsbury’s season, including their Player of the Year award.

Joe Aribo might’ve fired Charlton to promotion from League One with 10 goals and five assists in all competitions, but Greg Docherty played a talismanic role in Shrewsbury’s survival in the same division.

The 22-year-old midfielder hit an impressive 10 goals and laid on a further 11 in Shropshire.
