Back in September, an Efotbal report stated that Krystof Hampl had signed for Rangers.
The teenage midfielder, from the Czech Republic, had turned out on trial for the Gers U17s in the Spartak Cup in August and the club moved to secure his services shortly afterwards.
It was suggested that the 16-year-old had penned a two-year deal, arriving from FK Pardubice.
Now, the player himself has taken to social media to confirm the move. Hampl posted a photo of himself on Instagram in Rangers kit holding a scarf aloft along with the caption: “I’m happy to join this club, ready for new challenges.”

Several other Rangers Academy prospects responded to the post with messages of support, including Dire Mebude, Jay Hogarth and Kane Ritchie Hosler, who recently joined from Manchester City.
So far, the new signing has only appeared in age-group matches. For example, he started for the U18s last week, as they thrashed Hibernian on the road.
However, it’s likely that as the season progresses, he’ll look to push on toward the Development and Colts squads, perhaps with an eye on making an appearance in the revamped Glasgow Cup.
Let’s hope in a few years time, the acquisition of Hampl proves to be a shrewd piece of business.
