Rangers star Kris Boyd has continued his fine Gers supporting form by selecting four of the Ibrox club’s players in his Team of the Week.

Boyd was praised by some Rangers supporters for leaping to the defence of Alfredo Morelos [Sky Sports] at half time in the 2-0 win over Motherwell.

The Colombian’s red card also doesn’t seem to have influenced Boyd’s decision making too much – the former Killie star included the ferocious striker in his XI.

Alongside Morelos, Boyd also includes Allan McGregor, who pulled off a stunning save from Motherwell striker James Scott with the score at 1-0.

The legendary goalkeeper managed to get his arm to a goalbound header just as it looked destined to hit the back of the net.

Boyd also included Rangers’ first goalscorer, Nikola Katic, in the side after the Croatian’s heroics at Fir Park.

The big defender broke the deadlock and recovered from a shaky start defensively to look solid at the heart of the Rangers defence.

Rounding off the quartet of Rangers stars named in Boydy’s Team of the Week is midfielder Ryan Jack, who was once again the heartbeat of the Rangers side.

Even if he didn’t exert his usual offensive influence, Jack was a vocal presence on the pitch and at the centre of every clash in a physical encounter.
