Former Rangers striker Kris Boyd is never shy giving his two cents when it comes to the Ibrox side.
The outspoken ex-Gers hitman has carved out a post playing career analysing the Scottish game and is one of the nation’s most recognisable pundits.
After the 1-0 defeat to Kilmarnock at the weekend, Boyd turned heads with a stinging riposte where he lambasted Philippe Clement’s team live on Sky Sports.
And now the former Rangers number nine is back as Kris Boyd tells Ibrox supporters their team have ‘no chance’ of catching Celtic this season.

Kris Boyd: Rangers ‘no chance’ of catching Celtic
Speaking to the Scottish Sun, Kris Boyd unloaded on Rangers after a devastating defeat to Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.
The ex-Rangers striker has explained that he believes that the Ibrox side can forget challenging Celtic for the title this season.
Boyd is also at a loss as to how Rangers will turn things around at Ibrox this season, with some challenging matches on the horizon.
“I keep hearing Rangers and Celtic,” said Boyd. “Rangers have got absolutely no chance of getting anywhere near Celtic this season.
“Plain and simply because of if you look at yesterday, you get that little opening, that little chance to go and apply pressure and all of sudden we see a performance like that.
“As if they didn’t know exactly what had went on at Celtic Park 24 hours before.
“You’ve got to say, just devoid of confidence, I get it. But confidence doesn’t make you run about, confidence doesn’t make you want to run off the ball when your teammate’s got it.
“There are so many problems at Rangers right now and the worrying thing is, they’ve got another European tie, it’ll be interesting to see what the attendance is on Thursday night.
“You’re looking at Sunday again, against St Mirren, huge game at Pittodrie, then you’ve got a semi-final.
“For me, I don’t see how this is going to improve.”
Aberdeen prediction could leave Boyd red-faced
Kris Boyd has also claimed that he could be left with ‘egg on his face’ after predicting that Aberdeen would finish behind Rangers this season.
The pressure is ramping up on Philippe Clement with the Gers currently six points behind both Aberdeen and Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
Whilst Boyd still believes Rangers will overtake the Dons in the table, the ex-Rangers striker lambasted the Ibrox side for blowing their chance to pull level with Aberdeen at Pittodrie.
It comes after Celtic and Aberdeen played out a 2-2 draw at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.
“I could be left with egg on my face because I said there was no chance Aberdeen could finish second,” Boyd told SunSport.
”I still believe they don’t but looking at it right now, at least they’re a team that’s together, they’re a team that’s fighting for their manager.
“Rangers are so far away from that.
“If we could go (to Kilmarnock) get the three points, all of a sudden you’re going to Pittodrie with a chance to potentially draw level with Aberdeen.
“And everybody’s saying Aberdeen have had a fantastic start and Rangers have been really poor.”
