Controversial Rangers rival Steve Clarke has officially ruled himself out of the running for the vacant Celtic job.
In fact, in a report by The Scottish Sun Clarke is quoted as calling any links are “pie in the sky.”
It blows any notion that the controversial figure will take the hotseat at Celtic Park come the end of the season out of the water. Clarke claims he’s not interested.

“I’ve always said I won’t leave Kilmarnock for another Scottish club and that remains the case,” said Clarke.
“It’s 100 per cent certain that I’ll go back to England. That’s for sure. That’s where my family and my life is.
“The speculation is a distraction you don’t need, especially when you’re clear about what you’re going to do anyway.”
That’s pretty clear from Steve Clarke. The Kilmarnock manager is adamant that he is not interested in the Celtic job and that he won’t leave Ayrshire for another part of Scotland.

The Kilmarnock boss has been at loggerheads with Rangers fans after incidents involving sectarian singing last week. Clarke’s side were also scolded 5-0 at Ibrox by a rampant Rangers led by Alfredo Morelos.
In his press conference Clarke also claimed he had talks with Rangers about taking over at the club before Steven Gerrard. He had earlier denied any interest from Ibrox, but later told reporters he had told “small lies” in doing so.
Neil Lennon was appointed interim boss at Celtic Park after Brendan Rodgers left the club to join Leicester, much to the dismay of Celtic fans.
