Former Rangers striker Kenny Miller says he “wouldn’t be surprised” if “matchwinner” Alfredo Morelos steals the headlines on Sunday and breaks his Old Firm scoring duck.
And he should know. The veteran Dundee hitman hit nine for Rangers in the fixture and knows just what it takes to win at Parkhead.
He was speaking to BBC Scotland looking ahead to Sunday’s match.
“Alfredo Morelos is having an outstanding season. He’s not managed to score against Celtic yet and I know that’s something that eats away at him, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see that change at the weekend.
“His rate of goalscoring has been outstanding and he produces them on his own.”
The striker was also full of praise for Ryan Kent. The winger was pivotal in the last Old Firm match and continues to be a key player for Rangers.
Fans had mixed responses after the Daily Record claim Liverpool have slapped an £8-10m price tag on his head.

“I’ve been singing Ryan Kent’s praises this term and he’s been one of the outstanding players from Rangers’ new additions this season,” said Miller.
“It maybe took him three, four or five games to settle in but since then he’s been outstanding. He has been a real threat any time he’s played.”
Miller also picked out Allan McGregor and Scott Arfield as the main threats in the Rangers side. The Old Firm also praised Gerrard’s Rangers side, saying “they definitely learned from that first game [at Parkhead] and that is the message that he’ll be reinforcing on Sunday.”
