Rangers have been taking extra Covid-19 precautions as they prepare to head into one of the world’s worst-hit countries in the Czech Republic.

The Gers have been meticulous with how they’ve approached the Covid-19 pandemic within the walls of Auchenhowie and that mentality continued as they travel abroad.

According to journalist Andy Newport, Rangers are undertaking a range of measures to ensure the club comes back from Czechia clean of the virus.

This includes travelling straight from the airport to the hotel – without visiting the stadium – and having tests done on all hotel staff.

“Understand Rangers taking extra precautions ahead of trip to Prague, which has higher levels of Covid cases currently,” said Newport [Twitter].

“Club issued players FFP-2 masks and will be travelling straight from airport to team hotel (no stadium visit).

“Club have requested all hotel staff return negative test results before players arrive. Rangers’ own weekly covid tests have returned clear for all players and staff.”

The journalist even found the time to absolutely destroy a salty Celtic too who complained “Sparta Prague” should be self-isolating due to Rangers’ weekend title celebrations.

Newport simply informed him that Rangers are actually playing Slavia Prague.

Rangers are looking forward to a tough test in eastern Europe against Slavia Prague in the Czech Republic as they look to make the Europa League quarter-finals for the first time under Steven Gerrard.

The Ibrox side have also been boosted by the news that four Slavia first-teamers will miss the tie in the Czech Republic.
