Rangers could launch a pre-contract move for Sheffield United midfielder John Lundstram after it was claimed he will remain at the Blades this season.
The powerful box-to-box midfielder was previously linked to Rangers [Athletic] with his contract expiring at Bramall Lane within the year and the Gers hunting for a new midfielder.
But Alan Nixon – the journalist who broke the story on Ryan Kent and Leeds United – is claiming the player is set to remain at the club with his future still up in the air.
Nixon believes that interested parties are holding back investing in the midfielder with the promise of Lundstram, 26, being available on a free next season.
The journalist also appears to confirm Rangers are interested in the former Everton Academy midfielder.
