The journalist who broke the story concerning Leeds United interest in Rangers winger Ryan Kent has dismissed the suggestion the player has a £10m release clause in his Gers contract.
Alan Nixon originally broke the news on Twitter that Marcelo Bielsa’s side were readying a £10m offer for the ex-Liverpool ace, later writing an exclusive for the Scottish Sun.

Whilst Nixon would go on to confirm that Leeds have actually made a formal offer for the player, Nixon also addressed comments regarding a rumoured release clause.
Addressing a supporter who had tweet him, Nixon simply said “no” to the suggestion that Kent had a release clause of £10m.
The bid comes after Nixon claims Bielsa twice tried to sign Kent from Liverpool before the winger moved to Ibrox last summer.
Rangers reportedly splashed out on a deal which could reportedly reach £7.5m for Kent last season after the winger impressed during an initial loan spell.
Ryan Kent, 23, has started the season brightly at Rangers and is seen as a vital part of how the side plays.

If Rangers are to sell the tricky winger Leeds United will almost certainly have to up their offer but there’s no suggestion from the club that they are entertaining offers.
Here’s how the Rangers support reacted to those reports linking Kent with a move to the newly-promoted Premier League side.
