In November, Joe Dodoo made Rangers look a little foolish for deeming him surplus to requirements.
The striker hit a purple patch, netting four in four for his adopted club. This run included two acrobatic volleys, each fit to win a goal of the month competition in their own right.

One wondered how the 23-year-old Ghanaian could be so talented, yet fail to show any real goalscoring prowess at Ibrox. The striker appeared in 20 league matches for the Gers, yet only managed to net three times.
However, recently, it has become clear that Dodoo’s form may have been a flash in the pan.
While Blackpool continue to achieve reasonable results, their loan star has drawn a blank in his last three outings.

Last weekend, he was withdrawn after failing to break the deadlock against fifth tier Solihull Moors. It was the same story yesterday afternoon against Charlton, as he was replaced by Nathan Delfouneso, with 15 minutes left to play.
The ex-Aston Villa man went on to score an 87th minute winner, and with Armand Gnandhuillet also getting on the scoresheet, Dodoo may have a tough time getting back into the starting XI next time out.

Dodoo has shown he is capable of brilliance. Yet, his lack of consistency is apparent.
Perhaps it is this factor that ensures, no matter how many acrobatic strikes he pulls off, he is unlikely to ever be a regular fixture at Ibrox.
