Whilst it was hard to imagine Jermain Defoe not turning out at Ibrox next season, some photographs from the club appear to unofficially appear to prove there will be no Bournemouth recall.
For now at least.
Jermain Defoe signed on in January in an 18-month loan deal with the option to recall after six or twelve months.

At the tail-end of last season, Eddie Howe told the Bournemouth Echo said that the discussion over Defoe’s future was “one for the summer”.
The Bournemouth manager didn’t exactly reassure fans Defoe was nailed on to return to Ibrox.
There’s been nothing official on whether Defoe’s definitely been given the go-ahead to play for Rangers this campaign.
But the fact he’s been pictured going through his paces at the Hummel Training Centre suggests the 36-year-old striker is gearing up for a campaign with Rangers.
Defoe himself has spoken about how determined he is to be successful with this Rangers side.

Jermain Defoe joined Rangers to much fanfare in January and managed an impressive eight goals despite playing second fiddle to Alfredo Morelos.
Next season, a settled Jermain Defoe could be a potent option for Rangers up front. Despite being in his mid-30s he continues to produce in front of goal.
And whilst the photographs of Rangers’ training seem to hint at Jermain Defoe’s immediate stay at Ibrox, is the absence of another player a hint his time at Ibrox is coming to an end?
