Rangers ‘keeper Jak Alnwick could be set for an imminent Rangers return.
He has been on loan at Scunthorpe since the beginning of the season.
However, tomorrow’s fixture against Walsall, could be his last with The Iron.

Grimsby Live have reported that the ‘keeper’s loan deal expires after this weekend’s match.
He was due to return at the beginning of this month, but stayed on while Rangers jetted off to Tenerife.
Scunthorpe can no longer plead emergency, though, as veteran ‘keeper Matt Gilks looks to have finally recovered from a long-term injury.
He made it through an hour of a mid-week friendly, and will take the gloves should Alnwick leave.

Just a few weeks back, we reported on Alnwick’s lack of clean sheets at Glanford Park.
However, since then, he has conceded just once in his last three appearances, and looks to have hit top form.
Foderingham’s future could be a factor
Whether or not Rangers intend to sell Wes Foderingham, is likely a deciding factor here.
Some time ago, the current Rangers no.2 was reportedly attracting attention from Leeds United.

Should Foderingham leave Ibrox, Alnwick may be required as backup to Allan McGregor.
If he stays put though, there may be grounds to extend the ex-Newcastle man’s stay south of the border.
Either way, expect to see an official announcement on this player’s future, by early next week.
