From now until the end of the season, every Rangers game is a cup final and Todd Cantwell is fully aware of what is at stake for the rest of the campaign.
The Gers number 13 picked up an unlucky injury just as he was starting to show what he is really capable of and five goals in nine games from his favoured position is, hopefully, a sign of things to come in the coming weeks.
Speaking ahead of tomorrow’s league clash at Ibrox with Hibs, the Rangers playmaker can’t wait to get going again but Todd Cantwell isn’t looking too far into the future.

Todd Cantwell fired up as he reveals Rangers title mentality
It’s been a strange season for the former Norwich City midfielder.
After arriving in January last year, he looked like the type of talisman that we had been missing for years and someone who was capable of having the team built around him.
Instead, Michael Beale benched him for the first game of the season against Kilmarnock with Sam Lammers preferred in the number 10 role until he left to join Utrecht in the winter transfer window.
Current Gers boss Philippe Clement was having to play Todd Cantwell for Rangers in an unfamiliar role on the right-hand side, he was also used as a number eight.
Unsurprisingly, he was being played out of position because of injuries.
Before his recent injury though, Clement was getting the best out of Cantwell behind the central striker and his form saw us leapfrog Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
It’s clear that he can’t wait to pick up from where he left off now that he is fit again:
“There’s an excitement which comes from the fans but inside as well. We know exactly what’s up for grabs and have had our hands on one. It’s obvious we’re playing for the other two as well, so very excited.
“The most important thing, you hear this all the time and it’s probably not the answer you wanted, but it’s just the next game. I know there are not loads of games left but things can change massively very quickly. I think the important thing is to tackle the task of Hibs which won’t be an easy game.”
Like Cantwell, Rangers fans are equally as excited, we were playing good football, winning games and competing with Benfica at the same time as having almost a full team missing.
Winning the Viaplay Cup proves that this squad knows how to win, hopefully, it is the drug that fuels them to what would be the ultimate high.
