Rangers need all the good quality players that they can get just now as Philippe Clement looks to get the domestic campaign back on track.
A good quality squad can bail a manager out of trouble if a match isn’t going as planned with one key individual ready to do his bit.
Clement has rarely been able to call on Danilo since taking charge at Ibrox but the Rangers No.99 is determined to make up for lost time.

Danilo ready to make Rangers impact after injury hell
With a goal and an assist in just 81 minutes across three games, the Brazilian striker has shown a sharpness that Cyriel Dessers has lacked in recent weeks.
Speaking to Rangers TV, Danilo is determined to put his injury woes behind him and is ready to play his part:
“I’m feeling great. I’m working hard to get the minutes and get ready to try to help the team as much as possible.
“It’s been rough. I would say at the point you get an injury at an unexpected moment, even if it’s one you try and avoid, try and get out of, sometimes setbacks just come.
“Then you just try to turn it in a positive way. That’s what’s in my head, so I’m trying to have good people around me to try to make it as positive as possible. I’m looking forward to every game and every training as well to try to reach my maximum level as I can.”
Has Danilo been a waste of money?
Frustratingly, Danilo had no real injury history before joining Rangers and had proven that he could chip in with good numbers before having his jaw broken.
That he returned and then suffered a freak knee injury when clattered playing against Hearts only compounded his misery.
On one hand, Rangers clearly haven’t got value for money after paying Feyenoord £6m, but on a long term deal, there is plenty of time for Danilo to make the sort of impact that was first hoped when he first signed.
Hamza Igamane was immense against Nice but he covered a lot of ground and hasn’t been playing regularly, Danilo played 45 minutes in the last league game against Dundee United and should be starting against St Johnstone.
With a reported weekly wage of £26,000, Danilo has cost approximately £125,000 per goal contribution – for his seven goals and six assists in 26 appearances, but just 1145 minutes.
If he can return to his best and bring success back to Rangers, he will be worth his weight in gold, never mind his salary.
