And now it seems the interest has intensified with Rangers reportedly facing competition from Lazio and Sassuolo for the player’s signature [Corriere Dello Sport, as quoted by the Daily Record].

The defensive midfielder currently plies his trade in the Portuguese Primeira Liga with Maritimo and has reportedly been attracting interest from Benfica and Sporting Lisbon [Fichajes]. The same report claims Spanish side Villarreal are interested.
There were also reports earlier in the season that Rangers would be battling Chelsea for the player’s signature [originally A Bola].
A lynchpin for the Maritimo side, the fact so many clubs are reportedly interested in his services is a testament to his ability and form.
Vukovic has enjoyed a stellar season for Maritimo after joining the club from Ukrainian side Olimpik Donetsk at the start of the season.

He signed a three-year deal for the 10th placed Primeira Liga side and now it looks likely he’ll be moving on after only one.
A Calciomercato report claims the former Croatian youth international, 27, will cost between £900k and £1m.
