The earlier Rangers links with Andre Gray [the Herald] had Gers fans excited about the prospect but suspicious of how realistic the move is.
Gray has made 31 appearances for Watford this season and cost the Vicarage Road club £18.5m under a year ago. Can Rangers really lure such an expensive player to Ibrox?
Well, reliable club insider Four Lads Had a Dream believes that the club are being genuine with their interest.

There’s no doubt Gray is an incredibly ambitious for target for Rangers. The former Burnley striker is only 27 and entering the peak of his Premier League powers.
Any move would have to be a loan deal with Gray only one year into a five-year deal. A one-year loan deal could also cost upwards of £3.5m.
In order to fund this, it surely depends on the future of Alfredo Morelos. Rangers managing director Stewart Robertson said Rangers value the player at close to £20m.

If Rangers get it a move for Gray would look much more viable. It would also represent a solid statement by the club in terms of their title intentions.
Even if at first glance a Rangers move for Andre Gray seems like pie in the sky, club insider Four Lads Had a Dream appear convinced the “interest is definitely real”.
