A Scottish Herald report claims Rangers are considering a loan move for Watford’s Andre Gray in the summer.
The 27-year-old signed for the Premier League outfit from Burnley in 2017. He cost a reported £18.5 million [BBC Sport].
Since then, he has scored twelve top-flight goals, including two in his last two appearances.
Despite his importance to the Hornets increasing in recent weeks, it’s claimed he could be on Steven Gerrard’s summer wishlist.
The manager has already stated that he’s looking to strengthen in forward areas [

However, few would have expected a player of this value to be linked with an Ibrox switch.

With 31 appearances so far this season, it’s hardly as if he’s surplus to requirements at his current club.
Yet, the majority of those outings have come from the bench and Watford do have plenty of other options.
Troy Deeney and Isaac Success are important players, with Stefan Okaka set to return from a loan spell of his own in the summer.
It seems all seems a little far fetched. After recently finding form, why would Watford look to get him off the books? Could Rangers really afford his presumably considerable wages?
Saying that few would have believed Jermain Defoe would become a Ger this season, either.
