If Alfredo Morelos isn’t guaranteed Rangers space, is Ryan Kent?

About a month ago the mere notion that both Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent weren’t guaranteed a space in the Rangers side would be ridiculed.
But after Steven Gerrard’s hand was forced due to red cards shown in the Old Firm last month, Rangers have had no choice but to fill the space with someone else. And fill the space they have.

Rangers have since won three on the bounce, all of them without Alfredo Morelos and two of them without Ryan Kent.
And whilst all the talk is about Jermain Defoe now holding the striking jersey, what about Ryan Kent’s space in the side?
Alfredo Morelos might find it difficult to pry the top back off Defoe, but is Ryan Kent guaranteed to walk back into the side himself?
Scott Arfield has been electric in a more advanced role, and Daniel Candeias provided two assists against Hearts. They won’t want to give up their spaces that easily.
The midfield three of Jack, Kamara and Davis are beginning to look settled too and will be difficult to break up. It leaves Steven Gerrard with a dilemma when both players return to the side.

But it’s undoubtedly a good dilemma to have. Rangers are playing with composure and confidence which means the full squad will need to work hard to earn their space in the side. Competition is a good thing and forces everyone to raise their game.
Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent will be absolutely no different. That said, do you really put Daniel Candeias in the XI before the Liverpool loanee?
