The Union Bears are the heart and soul of Rangers support in terms of the atmosphere at box home and away fixtures.
At Ibrox, they have been moved to the middle of the Copland Road stand from their old corner in the Broomloan, in an attempt to increase the noise and to give Philippe Clement all the help he can get as manager.
With no fewer than four senior executives on Rangers board missing, the current directors running the club should have enough on their plates, however, it appears that they have picked a fight with the most influential faction of the Light Blues’ support.

Union Bears take aim at Rangers board
The displays to mark special occasions at Ibrox are funded by the Union Bears through donations and selling merchandise, they take a lot of planning, they also take considerable man hours to design and make.
Posting on Instagram, the Bears are clearly unimpressed with the Rangers board’s recent intervention ahead of the stunning Remembrance Day display:
“The Union Bears have always took immense pride in producing our Remembrance Day display,” began the statement.
“Unfortunately, this year, due to sanctions imposed on us by the board, our preparation and ability to carry out the hundreds of man hours required to produce such a tifo were severely hampered.
“These sanctions were imposed by board members who appear to believe that punishing a vocal element of the support will cover up their continuous shortcomings in the boardroom.”
What caused the Union Bears fallout?
The argument appears to have stemmed from the recent series of targeted messages from the Union Bears, aimed at the board and the influence of father and son duo, Douglas and Graeme Park.
The Bears detail on Instagram how obstructive the club was in the build-up and on the day of the Remembrance display which will have an impact on the next planned event – the 125th anniversary of the opening of Ibrox.
Finishing, the Union Bears then point the finger again, and it doesn’t take a genius to work out who they are targeting:
“In recent years we believed we held a sustainable relationship with the club. However, in recent months, through yet another power shift, we have yet again become the focus of an ego driven campaign by select board members who solely want to harm the group and limit our match day capability.
