Hull City fans have lauded former Rangers player Greg Docherty following his impressive performance in their 2-0 win over Gillingham on Saturday.
The Tigers got their 2020/21 EFL League One campaign off to the perfect start with three points on the road, courtesy of goals from Keane Lewis-Potter and Northern Ireland international, Josh Magennis.
Former Gers player Docherty, who joined the English club for a reported ยฃ400,000 last month [Hull Live], played 86 minutes of the contest.
The 24-year-old made his debut in the League Cup the previous weekend but this was his first league appearance and first outing in the English third tier since his 2018/19 loan spell at Shrewsbury Town.

Hull fans were delighted when the bluenose penned his three-year contract and heโs already impressing with his performances.
Docherty played alongside Richard Smallwood in the middle of the park and put in a typically high energy display, providing protection for the back four but also looking to surge forward and create opportunities for others.

After the game, he tweeted to celebrate the result.
โMassive win to start the season! Letโs go,โ he said, before tagging the official Hull City twitter page.
His post prompted plenty of Hull supporters to praise him for his efforts.
