Leading Rangers insiders Heart & Hand have confirmed that the Gers have “agreed terms” with LAFC midfielder Jose Cifuentes.
Heart & Hand host David Edgar confirmed the news on the platform’s Daily Update, available to Patreon subscribers, amid much speculation surrounding Cifuentes in the press.

There have been several reports suggesting a deal is edging increasingly closer but at the same time the 24-year-old midfielder continues to turn out in the MLS.
Speaking to subscribers, Heart & Hand are clear that personal terms have been agreed for Jose Cifuentes but Rangers’ negotiations continue with LAFC.
“It appears since I was away Jose Cifuentes was signing in fifteen minutes almost every fifteen minutes,” said David Edgar, on the platform’s Daily Update for 10/07.
“Where I understand it to be at the moment is that Rangers and the player have agreed terms; that’s perfectly legit by the way, there’s no tapping up or anything going on there.
“He is out of contract in December so it is perfectly legitimate for Rangers to talk to Jose Cifuentes so it’s whether or not a deal can be struck with LAFC to get him here in time for the start of the season rather than the January winter break.”
Heart & Hand: LAFC want £2m for Jose Cifuentes
Heart & Hand host David Edgar has also gone into detail surrounding the LAFC demands for Jose Cifuentes as Rangers look to sign him this summer.
Whilst the midfielder would be free the join the Ibrox side in December, it’s being claimed that LAFC want £2m to sanction a deal this summer
However, with Rangers wanting to pay half of that, there is hope the two clubs will meet in the middle with LAFC keen to sell and the Gers keen to buy.
“(LAFC) are said to be looking out for about £2m, Rangers looking to pay no more than half that really,” said Edgar.
“You’ll remember it’s very similar to what we did in January where we had to pay fees for both Todd Cantwell and Nico Raskin and it was £1.5m roundabout for each of those players.

“LA want to get the deal done, and so do Rangers, but they don’t want to overpay. That deal is still progressing; could happen quickly, could still drag out a little bit, could not happen.
“All transfer situations right up until the player is actually here, they’re fluid. There are so many factors affecting it, you cannot say categorically this is going to happen unless you are the club or player.
“Rangers still keen on adding him (Jose Cifuentes) and looking to add to our midfield options.”
Being media partners with Rangers, Heart & Hand are a solid source of news coming out of the Ibrox club and this is a solid update on Jose Cifuentes.
News of Ibrox interest in Cifuentes, 24, broke earlier in the summer, with the midfielder recently linked to the likes of Man City, Newcastle United and Brighton.
