There is no doubting Hamza Igamane’s raw talent at Rangers.
The Moroccan has shown that this season with a hattrick against Hibs as well as in flashes with his tricks and flicks and the general 14-goal return he has contributed.
The key thing to remember about Igamane is his age and still at just 22-years-old, it is possible the club have relied too heavily on his impact at times.
For Derek Ferguson, that could be pointing towards why the playmaker has only notched one strike in his last 15, albeit it was a stunner against Celtic to win the Old Firm derby at Parkhead.

Derek Ferguson thinks Igamane’s form dip has been ‘strange’
Del reckons it’s possible that former boss Philippe Clement used the youngster too often and could perhaps have rested him more than once.
And while it has been “strange” to see his dip, there’s still a quality operator in there.
“His recent drop-off in form has been a strange one,” Ferguson told Ibrox News.
“He’s looked devoid of confidence all of a sudden. He just hasn’t looked the same player as a couple of months ago. You’ve got to factor in that he’s a young guy.
“Has he been managed correctly? I’m not so sure. Maybe Clement could have taken him out for a game or two.
“But there is clearly a player there with great ability.
“You want to keep the guys with his ability, which I’m sure the owners will do, but I’d love to know what the management team make of his situation.”
Igamane has scored massive Rangers goals this season
Igamane has come up big at times for the Light Blues this term, outside of that Celtic Park victory, with big goals against the likes of Aberdeen, Nice and Tottenham Hotspur in Europe.
Yet while Derek Ferguson blames Clement, it’s his brother Barry who has been accused of mishandling Igamane by some sections of the Ibrox support.
It comes after Gers’ 2-0 defeat to Hibs last weekend where the playmaker was deployed on the wing as opposed to through the middle where he clearly thrives.
Igamane has big-money offers surely in the pipeline with Premier League clubs interested as well as Marseille who like Igamane.
