A disappointed Celtic fan has gone viral on social media for his negative comments about Rangers’ victory over RB Leipzig in the wake of their Champions League exit.
A clip of the supporter speaking after the Parkhead side’s 3-1 defeat to the Germans shows the fan glumly analysing the game with some of his fellow supporters outside their ground.

But whilst surely Celtic must’ve been the order of the day the supporter couldn’t help but hark back to Rangers’ famous 3-2 aggregate victory over the Germans last season.
Rangers secured a spot in the Europa League Final with a famous Ibrox victory with many believing that result – whilst Domenico Tedesco was manager – didn’t get the credit it deserves.
Now, with RB Leipzig floundering in 11th place in the Bundesliga and under the guidance of ex-Dortmund boss Marco Rose, the Germans have just done the double over our Old Firm rivals.
Celtic fan in snide Rangers comment after RB Leipzig defeat
In the aftermath of Leipzig’s 2-0 Celtic Park victory, this Celtic fan hinted that the Parkhead support UNDERESTIMATED the German club due to their victory over Rangers.
But for those thinking he might’ve praised Rangers through gritted teeth, the Celtic fan couldn’t bring himself to do it and instead suggested this was because of an upturn in RB Leipzig form.
In the clip, the Celtic fan tells Celtic Fan TV after the match:
“There’s been a false sense of security before these games were played because we seen obviously what Leipzig were five months ago and they weren’t a great team.”
For credit’s sake, the full video is HERE.
The saltiness and bitterness of the entire thing; it’s wonderful.
Rangers fans aren’t particularly yearning for more credit for the victory over RB Leipzig more than goading their rivals as beating the Germans clearly isn’t for everyone.
But we get it, RB Leipzig were rubbish when they played Rangers, world-beaters when they played Celtic and so long as the content is this good – who are we to suggest otherwise?
Meanwhile, Rangers have been handed a major player boost as a promising star nears a return to the first team.
