Rangers manager Michael Beale has said that he does not want Antonio Colak to leave the club in the summer transfer window.

According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers could offload Antonio Colak at the end of the season.

However, Beale has publicly said that he plans to work with the striker next season.

The Rangers boss has noted the injury problems that the striker has had this campaign, and believes that the 29-year-old Croatia international does have a future at Ibrox.

Michael Beale on Antonio Colak’s future at Rangers

Beale said about Colak: “For Antonio’s first season at Rangers, in terms of starts, his goal return is fantastic.

The reality is since November he has had an on-off time with injuries. When I came in he was injured but he came back and scored two against Hibs and was fantastic.

“He just hasn’t had a run of games. Moving forward, there will be competition coming in and Tony will fight with those guys.

“His goals record gives me optimism and he won’t shy away from a fight. He backs himself. If someone doesn’t want competition they aren’t at the right club.”

Ibrox stay

In our view, Rangers should not sell Antonio Colak in the summer transfer window.

We believe that Michael Beale should give the striker another chance.

After all, Colak joined Rangers from PAOK only in the summer of 2022.

It is not always wise to get rid of a player after just one season.

We believe that the £1.8 million (The Athletic) striker will get back to the level he showed in August and September.

After all, injuries do affect players.

Colak has made 18 starts and six substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers this season.

The Rangers no. 9 has scored 13 goals and given one assist in those games.
