Former Rangers player and manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst is reportedly being lined up for a new position in football.
Of course, Van Bronckhorst has a rich history with Rangers having played for the club between 1998 and 2001 after joining under Dick Advocaat.
The Dutchman made his return to Ibrox in 2021 as manager as he stepped in to replace Steven Gerrard, who had departed Rangers for Aston Villa midway through the season.
Van Bronckhorst led Rangers to Scottish Cup glory and a memorable run to the Europa League final in May 2022 – but he was sacked only a few months later.
Gio took a break before sealing his management return with Turkish giants Besiktas, but he was sacked in November last year after a poor run of results.

Van Bronckhorst set for Feyenoord technical director job
Now, the 50-year-old is said to be closing in on an emotional return to his former club Feyenoord, where he started and ended his playing career.
Freelance journalist Mark Walker, via The Rangers Review, is reporting that Van Bronckhorst ‘could be set’ for the technical director role at Feyenoord.
The report adds that current incumbent Dennis te Kloese is on his way out of the Eredivisie side and Gio will be the man to replace him.
Feyenoord are currently fourth in the Dutch top-flight and finishing there would guarantee them qualification for the Europa League second qualifying round.
Feyenoord hero Jan Boskamp has been quoted praising the expected appointment of Van Bronckhorst.
He has said: “If they call Gio, they’re calling a big man. He’s a Feyenoord man. If you look at those big teams in Europe, you see that those old players are often involved.
“It would be a perfect job for him.”
Van Bronckhorst’s managerial record at Feyenoord
Van Bronckhorst retired from his playing career at Feyenoord in 2010 having made 249 appearances for the club, scoring 37 goals and providing 28 assists.
Five years later, he was back at De Kuip as the manager and spent four successful seasons in the position, the highlight winning the Eredivisie title in 2017.
Van Bronckhorst also won the KNVB Cup on two occasions, as well as lifting the Johan Cruyff Shield twice.
He ended his stint with Feyenoord in 2019 – leaving by his own accord – with an unbelievable 60.8 win percentage.
An ill-fated spell in China followed before his return to Rangers as manager in November 2021.
