Fundraiser launched to send Rangers kit to Egyptian supporters

A fundraiser has been launched to source some Rangers kits for a group of Egyptian supporters who made their own makeshift efforts beecause they couldn’t source kit in their homelands.

Taking to Reddit, the group of Rangers supporting Egyptians shared their makeshift kits which have the Rangers badge alongside the Puma logo and interestingly have Red Bull as a sponsor.

As a result of the kid’s industry, one Rangers fan commented claiming that he’d do his utmost to get the kids some official Rangers strips of their own.

Reddit user Burnsblue would then launch a Gofundme page for the Egyptian Rangers supporters in an effort to raise enough money to send them some official Rangers merchandise.

In total, the user predicted that Rangers fans will need to raise £723 to buy in enough kit for the youngsters as well as posting it to Egypt.

Listed in Canadian Dollars, as this is where this particular Bear is from, the page is almost already halfway to reaching its target.

“Fundraising to buy Rangers tops for our Egyptian Rangers supporters. The money raised will go towards the cost of the tops and the custom fees,” reads the page [Gofundme].

“If the fundraiser fails for any reason, I will donate the cash to charity.”

Rangers have fans all over the globe and let’s hope this next generation of Gers fans from far flung lands get their hands on some coveted Rangers tops in the weeks to come.

But whilst their makeshift Ibrox tops have been lauded by the Gers fans – the club themselves might not be too happy after they launched a special department aimed at cracking down on counterfeit clothing.
