Rangers have sent a strong warning to online vendors using club trademarks that they are “damaging the club’s brand…for personal gain” as they clamp down on counterfeit merchandise.

With a host of traders online using various club trademarks to produce a huge range of items, the Gers are now taking a hard line to avoid fans being left disappointed by shoddy copies.

Fans were again encouraged to only buy from official outlets and partners as they look to take action against vendors hawking unofficial club merchandise.

“Rangers will not accept breaches of its trademarks and will take all necessary measures to protect our supporters from unofficial merchandise,” the club said in a statement.

WAYNE ROONEY TO EVERTON IS A JOKE.

“For the avoidance of doubt, any purchases that are not from shop.rangers.co.uk or an official club partner or licensee are not official and do not benefit the club.

“Furthermore, unofficial products will not have passed the same rigorous safety checks nor will they have been held to the same high standard as our official club products.

“We encourage all Rangers supporters to only buy official Castore & Rangers merchandise and official licensed products from the club’s approved partners. The days where it was deemed necessary to buy from beyond official outlets are now gone.

“Several repeat offending vendors are damaging the club’s brand and illegally producing products for personal gain. They will be held to account- action will be taken as and when necessary.
