As Rangers ground out a victory away to Kilmarnock – courtesy of a James Tavernier penalty – the fans appreciate just how big that win could be come the end of the season.
Rugby Park has been a tough place to go for Rangers as of late and Steven Gerrard’s side held on for a 1-0 win as Tavernier scored his 10th goal of the season.

The penalty award was not up for debate as Killie star Ross Millen threw his arm up following a free-kick and handled it inside the Kilmarnock box.
Well, it’s not up for debate unless you’re some Celtic fans.
Some members of the Parkhead support love a conspiracy when it comes to Rangers and penalties but after Andrew Dallas was clearly left in no doubt you’d think they’d give this one a bye.
No such luck.
Hilariously many of the Celtic Park club’s supporters have been taken to Twitter to cry conspiracy after the penalty turned out to be the only goal of the match.
Some of these Sevcos in here are absolutely stunning:

The result leaves Rangers nine points clear of their Glasgow rivals at the top of the Scottish Premiership, albeit Celtic have got two games in hand.
Next up for Rangers is a trip to Portugal to play Benfica in the Europa League before the Gers host Hamilton at Ibrox next Sunday.
