Former Rangers midfielder John Fleck starred for Sheffield United on Saturday afternoon, in their commanding Premier League win over Burnley.
The 28-year-old Glaswegian came through the ranks at Ibrox and made over 50 appearances for the first team between 2007 and 2012 [Soccerbase].

However, when the club hit its financial difficulties, he opted to become a free agent rather than staying on and headed to England to join Coventry City.
After initially grafting away with the Sky Blues in the EFL, his career has been on a remarkable upward trajectory in recent seasons.
He joined Sheffield United in 2016 and quickly became a mainstay in their midfield.
Fleck played an impressive 46 times as the Blades secured automatic promotion to the top flight last season [Soccerbase], and despite investment in the squad, has managed to retain his starting berth.
Today, he notched his first-ever Premier League goal, to put his side 3-0 up before half-time against a shellshocked Burnley.

His composed finish past England-capped keeper Nick Pope all but sealed victory in the 44th minute.
It’s another major achievement for Fleck, who recently made his international debut for Scotland in a Euro 2020 Qualifying defeat against Russia.
The midfielder is one of only a small group of players who have opted to leave Ibrox and subsequently forged impressive careers south of the border.
