Former Rangers talent John Fleck has helped to guide current side Sheffield United to Championship glory.
The Sheffield club has this weekend all but secured their promotion to the Premier League. And the riches that come with it. A 2-0 win over Ipswich Town now means that in order for Leeds to pip the Blades to the second automatic promotion slot, they need a 13-goal swing in the final game of the season.
It is incredibly unlikely to happen. It’s a big achievement for Sheffield United, and former Ranger Fleck has been right at the centre of it.

The intelligent midfielder has often been the beating heart of the Sheffield United side. He has been central to the side’s success and he has earned the right to play at the highest level in the Premier League.
Fleck played in 43 of the Blades’ 45 Championship matches this season. He also chipped in with two goals and eight assists, but those numbers don’t tell the whole story of his influence in the team.
The now 27-year-old has come a long way since making his debut at Ibrox when he was only 16. Fleck was very highly rated as a youngster and went on to make over 50 appearances for Rangers without ever really setting the heather alight.

Now, the Scottish midfielder has come of age and everyone at Ibrox will be celebrating this success alongside him.
The midfielder also recently opened up to the Daily Record about his decision to leave Ibrox back in 2012.
