There is still a long way to go on and off the pitch but the tide seems to be turning in terms of Rangers ability to beat Celtic throughout the club.
A first derby win for Philippe Clement has been sandwiched by two B team wins against the Ibrox outfit’s bitter rivals, both in the Glasgow Cup.
Another goal for Findlay Curtis saw renewed calls from Rangers fans for the teenage forward to be recalled, a clamour once reserved for one of his teammates on the night.

Alex Lowry back in action as he faces Rangers contract fight
Zak Lovelace is improving his fitness and won’t be far away from a recall to the senior squad but Alex Lowry seems as far away as he has done for years.
Lowry’s B team and academy exploits used to see fans demand that he got promoted, however, at 21-years old, his future at the club looks bleak.
Nils Koppen issued a thinly veiled threat at comfortable youngsters and it’s easy to see why Lowry might be one of the players he was talking about.
A far cry from fighting off Premier league clubs like Man City to secure his services and celebrating a new deal being signed.
Lowry is hugely talented, but he isn’t kicked on from a debut goal and promising appearances under Giovanni van Bronckhorst three years ago.
B team boss makes Rangers mentality claim
Speaking after the win over Celtic, B team boss Malky Thomson praised the efforts of his players:
“We were always in control of defending those chances that they created,” said Thomson of withstanding pressure from Celtic.
“We’re well aware of what it takes to be a Rangers player and you need to have that winning mentality.
“But you need to get the wins and those wins give you the confidence and the belief that you’re part of a winning side that can handle the pressure placed on you.”
It would appear that not every player at Auchenhowie is aware of what it takes to be a Rangers player.
