Reports in Italy have claimed that Rangers are set to lose out on Ianis Hagi with the Romanian playmaker eager to join Lazio.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Hagi won’t stick it out with Rangers and instead “dreams” of a move to Italy.

The report claims that Rangers are “experiencing a period of corporate crisis” and as a result won’t make a move for the player.

The report also claims that Rangers have announced: “no investments” which is not what the club have said at all.

In fact, Rangers have moved quickly to reassure supporters that necessary funding is in place to complete the league season [Rangers].

But the report claims that Rangers will not make the €5m investment, which is required to sign Hagi, with Lazio waiting in the wings to whisk him off to his dream life in Italy.

Hagi didn’t seem too perturbed by the entire thing when releasing a video via Rangers urging supporters to stay indoors during the health crisis [Rangers].

The comments come after reports in Scotland rubbished earlier reports Hagi wanted the move to Lazio.

The Glasgow Times claimed that Hagi has reassured those at Rangers that he remains committed to the club with Rangers having an exclusive option to buy on the player.

This is something which was also backed up by club insider Four Lads Had a Dream who described the Lazio claims as “absolute nonsense” [Four Lads].
