Rangers playmaker Ianis Hagi has sent a reassuring message to supporters as the league season shutdown forces people indoors.
The talented Romanian playmaker took to Twitter to send a morale-boosting message to supporters and praise healthcare workers across the globe.
Launched on the Ibrox club’s official Twitter account, Hagi also urged fans to stay indoors and discussed how eager he is to return to training with his teammates.
“I just want to send some love and support from the Rangers family to the world,” said Hagi [Rangers].
“Especially the doctors, the nurses, the ones who have the courage to go every single day to work to try to save lives.
“Obviously on the other hand I’m really excited to come back at training and looking forward to seeing the guys again.
“But we know that we’re in a difficult situation right now so the only thing is just to stay healthy, stay safe, stay home and try to follow the rules.
“Everything will be alright.”
Hagi, 21, joined Rangers on deadline day in January with his loan move from Belgian outfit Genk considered a bit of a coup for the Ibrox club.
Son of legendary Romanian footballer Gheorghe Hagi has been widely tipped as one of the best young talents in Europe.
Hagi had begun to show flashes of his quality in the stunning 3-2 comeback win over Braga and with a late winner against Hibs.
The comments from the former European Golden Boy nominee echo those of veteran striker Jermain Defoe.
The legendary English forward said football is “not important” right now and admitted that he’s missing the Rangers fans [talkSPORT].
