Greg Docherty is on his way back to Rangers.
The 22-year-old’s work south of the border is done, after helping Shrewsbury Town retain their League One status.

Week in week out, it seemed that if Docherty performed, the Shrews did too.
A regular starter under both managers, John Askey and then Sam Ricketts, it’s clear he has a lot to offer in the middle of the park.

You can’t ask for much more than that from a loanee.
Not only did he go away, play games and contribute to goals, but he was also the best performer at his adopted side over the course of the season.

With the regular league season now complete, though, it seems that Docherty is wasting no time getting back to Glasgow.
He posted on Twitter on Thursday to thank Shrewsbury and the fans for their support during his stint. In turn, plenty of fans took the opportunity to say farewell and to wish him well in future endeavours.
