Rangers partners Eighty-One have finally arrived at Ibrox, months after a two-year agreement was announced.
The “exciting” Swiss energy drink brand came on board in early October, with Gers commercial and marketing director James Bisgrove asserting that they were an “excellent fit for the club” [Rangers.co.uk].

“We share drive, a commitment to innovation in competitive markets and a vision for international growth,” he added.
It was suggested that the partnership could also help to grow the club’s popularity in Switzerland, building on an increase that had followed the signing of striker Cedric Itten from Swiss Super League club St Gallen in August.
Since then, there’s been little evidence of collaboration between the two parties and multiple other partnerships have been announced, including deals with Glasgow Airport and Lucozade Sport.
However, fans will finally now be able to try out Eighty-One products, after their drinks arrived at Ibrox earlier this week.
On Thursday, the club tweeted a photo of the first batch of the energy drinks for sale in the Rangers Store.
Eighty-One founder, Pit Heeb, stated when the deal was announced that his company would be looking to engage Gers supporters across the partnership [Rangers.co.uk].
Planning events is close to impossible given the current restrictions in place in Glasgow, though, so it remains to be seen how they will look to promote their product for the remainder of the first year of the partnership.
Meanwhile, some fans have been taken aback by the physical condition of a first-team player who’s nearing an injury comeback.
