Former Rangers star Greg Docherty hit a stunning volley to rescue a point and get off the mark for new side Hull City as he got his first strike since returning from injury.
The ex-Hamilton midfielder, 24, returned from a thigh problem during the week in the League One leader’s 2-1 victory over Doncaster Rovers.

With Hull City 1-0 down against league rivals Oxford United, up stepped box-to-box midfielder Docherty to lash the ball home on the volley from the edge of the box.
This would prove to be a vital strike for the Tigers and helped them to maintain a two-point gap at the top of the English third tier with Lincoln City two points behind in second.
Boyhood bluenose Docherty left Ibrox in the summer after a total of 30 months at the club where he struggled to make a big enough impression under Steven Gerrard.
Rangers reportedly shelled out £600k to take the midfielder to Ibrox in January 2018 [Sky Sports] and the midfielder would go on 14 appearances for Rangers that season.
But after Steven Gerrard took over at Ibrox in the summer of that year, Doc was eventually farmed out on loan to League Shrewsbury Town.
The midfielder would impress during his time in Shropshire – even earning the club’s Player of the Year award – but it wasn’t enough to win a place in the Rangers squad.
After limited appearances the following season, Docherty was farmed out to Hibs until the footballing shutdown drew the curtain on season 19/20 prematurely.
Rangers would then make a £200k loss on the player by reportedly selling him to Hull City in the summer for a reported £400k [Hull Daily Mail].
Docherty has found a home so far with Hull and quickly established himself as a key first-team player, starting the club’s first 12 League One fixtures of the season.
A popular player at Rangers, for whatever reason Ibrox isn’t the best place for his development right now but that hasn’t stopped Doc ruling out a return to the club he loves in the future.
